The new version of the Wallpapers Central app is proving to be a great success — even greater than the first one.

The app has surpassed 1.76 million downloads, with an incredible 36,200% increase in the latest period thanks to this update, and it’s quickly approaching 2 million globally.

I’m really proud of this application but I decided to personally refine Wallpapers Central even further.

Starting today, the new Wallpapers Central 2.1 update is available on the App Store. It includes a long list of new features and should also fix all the issues found in version 2.0.

Global changes:

• Fixed a bug that caused ads to appear even for PRO users (only when downloading desktop wallpapers).
• Fixed a critical issue that in some rare cases prevented coins from being credited after watching an ad, completing missions, or making an in-app purchase. The problem originated from iCloud, not the app itself. Now, if user creation on iCloud fails, a prevention mode kicks in to block ads and in-app purchases while the app automatically retries in the background until Apple’s iCloud responds. Users will also be notified when this happens. Coins can now be collected and stored locally, and once iCloud is available, they’ll sync automatically.
• Rebuilt the entire favorites system: instead of downloading 4–6KB of data per saved wallpaper, the app now stores only IDs — reducing memory usage by about 98%. A conversion tool runs automatically the first time version 2.1 is opened, migrating old data and freeing space.
• Fonts have been recalibrated, spacing improved, and dividers added across many pages for a more harmonious layout.
• Rebuilt all pages that display wallpapers in a vertical list (Home, Depth, For You, Community, Favorites, Account). Image sizes are now fully dynamic, adapting perfectly to each iPhone display — from Mini to Pro Max.
• Added many new Liquid Glass buttons.
• Added support for Hindi.
• Developed API v2: completely independent from the previous one and much lighter and faster.

Home:

• New API and cache for the Verified Creators list → fewer calculations and near-instant loading.
• Scrolling performance improved by 50%. The previous version was laggy, but now wallpapers move much more smoothly thanks to a better Liquid Glass implementation and removal of text/icon shadows.
• Lazy loading and placeholders introduced for faster page loading and scrolling.

Search:

• The search page has been greatly improved! We’ve added three filters at the top to quickly find wallpapers for iPhone, iPad, or Desktop with a single tap.

• Recommended wallpapers now have a new layout similar to the “For You” section.
• The previous Top 10 Global section is no longer limited to just 10 wallpapers — more can be loaded by scrolling horizontally.
• Categories have a cleaner look: names now appear below images instead of overlaying them, reducing visual clutter.

Category Pages:

• Faster wallpaper loading with lazy loading and placeholders.
• More than 10 top wallpapers are now shown — just keep scrolling horizontally to load more.

Wallpaper Download Screen:

• Preview improved. Tapping the square preview now shows the wallpaper in full screen. White margins caused by the anti-screenshot protection have been fixed without removing the protection.
• Added subtle visual refinements like dividers, spacing, and a pulsing animated icon.

Ringtones:

• The “Most Popular Ringtones” section now loads beyond the top 10 as you scroll horizontally.
• Implemented iCloud sync to remember downloaded ringtones (with or without using Gems), so they can be re-downloaded in the future without needing PRO or more Gems.

Upload:

• Major improvements here too. The upload screen now has a white background instead of transparent for better visibility.
• A new confirmation page with upload rules has been added before the actual upload process. This is to reduce the flood of low-quality uploads and speed up manual approval.

Rewards:

• Redesigned header showing your Coin and Gem balance.
• All buttons now feature Liquid Glass with better vertical spacing.
• Fixed a layout bug that caused the section to extend beyond screen bounds, especially with Accessibility zoom.
• Rewrote the login rewards system (7, 15, 30 days) with better functionality and animated icons.
